Deal toolkit

Search any SPV, check a project's returns and a lender's covenants, and work out the landed cost of open-access power. SPV profiles are for subscribers. Approved accounts get three free runs of the returns and lender calculators. The landed-cost calculator is free for everyone.

SPV search

Look up any of over 3,200 renewable project companies (SPVs) in India. You get its location, grid substation and connectivity, tariff, offtaker, credit rating, lenders and debt, its strengths and weak points, and any approvals still pending. Name suggestions appear after three letters and searching is free. Opening a full profile uses one run; SPVs with little public information open free.

Need the whole universe? Subscribers see every SPV, holding company, lender and connectivity record, with unlimited profiles.

Project returns

Project and equity IRR, payback and debt cover for a renewable project. Simple structure: senior debt and equity only, equal quarterly repayments after the moratorium, no refinancing. Pick a technology to load starting values, then replace each with your project's own figures.

Need the full model? We build a complete model with P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, sculpted repayment, construction period and sensitivities.

Lender returns

Upload the project's assumptions and get the key covenants (minimum and average DSCR, minimum FACR, minimum ICR, maximum TOL/TNW and maximum long-term debt to EBITDA), each checked against your thresholds.

Lenders' due diligence. We review the technical, commercial, regulatory and financial assumptions independently and give covenant headroom under downside cases.

BESS sizing

Send us a year of consumption and generation in 15-minute blocks (35,040 rows; hourly data also works). We test a range of battery sizes against your time-of-day tariff and banking rules. You get back the battery size that covers the most consumption for the money, with the energy coverage you can expect.

What we need

  • A year of consumption and generation, as kWh for each 15-minute block (Excel or CSV straight from your meter or SCADA)
  • Your DISCOM tariff category, time-of-day zones and rates
  • Open-access or captive arrangement, and the banking rules that apply to you
  • Optional: battery cost quotes, the space available and the connection limit

The full report also covers

The coverage curve across battery sizes; the best-value size against capex and financing; monthly banking and lapse; technology and duration options; degradation and augmentation; and the open-access and banking rules for your state.

Landed cost

The cost of open-access renewable power at your meter, compared with your DISCOM tariff. Pick your state: charges confirmed from the commission's current orders fill in automatically, in green, with the order linked. Enter the rest, in amber, from your bill or the order. The result appears once every charge that applies is filled in.

Energy and arbitrage analysis for your plant. We compare captive, group captive, third-party, exchange and short-term routes. We also find the best mix and can run the bid process for you.
